The whole community of Seri Insan today planted 204 trees and plants donated by the DBKK (City Council) in the school compound as part of the 'Million Tree Project'.

Students and teachers spent an enjoyable couple of hours adding to the landscape of the school and more importantly realising their responsibility and committment to preserving and protecting their home environment.

For the past four years Seri Insan has supported Kampung Nawanon in the Poring district of Ranau.

The school continuously collects items to help make the life of the kampung people mroe comfortable.

This project was initiated as we wished for our students to realise their responsibility to their community and to the future of all people in the greater community of Sabah.

Sekolah Swasta Seri Insan is the sister school of SMPN 1 Peukan Bada in Aceh Besar, Aceh, Indonesia and SRS Seri Insan has become the sister school of SD Kerung Raya, Aceh Besar, Aceh, Indonesia.

The sister school project which began early in 2007 is an active project of support and friendship developing between the partner schools. Students from both our schools have been writing pen pal letters on a monthly basis. The pen pal system is very successful with friendships established between young people in both nations.
